Under the general policy guidance from the
, the city administrator and administrative office plan, organize, integrate, fiscally control, direct, review, administer, and evaluate the activities, operations, programs, and services of Highland City.
The city administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of the City and has direct responsibility for:
Carrying out the policies, programs, and ordinances determined by the City’s elected officials
Developing, presenting, and implementing the City’s budgets
Ensuring City government operations and functions effectively serve Highland City’s residents, businesses, and stakeholders
The City recently conducted a road study which recommended spending an additional $1 million per year on road rehabilitation. After a lengthy process, City Council voted to create a Transportation Utility Fee of $18.50 per month per utility connection.
Section 3-612 of the Development Code requires a permit when installing a fence, screen wall, or hedge wall on your property.
