Under the general policy guidance from the
, the city administrator and administrative office plan, organize, integrate, fiscally control, direct, review, administer, and evaluate the activities, operations, programs, and services of Highland City.
The city administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of the City and has direct responsibility for:
Carrying out the policies, programs, and ordinances determined by the City’s elected officials
Developing, presenting, and implementing the City’s budgets
Ensuring City government operations and functions effectively serve Highland City’s residents, businesses, and stakeholders

Road Plan, Financing, and Open Houses
The City recently conducted a road study and plan which recommended we spend an additional $1 million per year on road rehabilitation. The Mayor and Council invite you to an Open House to learn about the study and funding options and give feedback.
East-West Connector (Murdock Connector Road) Traffic & Transportation Study
For years Highland has master planned for an East-West Connector road to connect Alpine Highway with North County Boulevard. However, this is a complicated project due to all of the entities involved and the length and cost of the road.
