Location - Highland Community Center, 5378 W 10400 N

The Fine Art Show is a traditional feature of the Highland Fling and serves to showcase the work of artists in our community.  Join us for this inspiring event and enjoy viewing samples of some of Highland City’s finest artists.

Members of the public are invited to enter their works in this show.  The following age divisions will be offered:

  • Professional Adult

  • High School
  • Junior High
  • Grades 4-6

  • Mixed Media
  • Drawing (hand-drawn and computer-generated)

***Adult entries must be framed in all media categories. Youth/child entries must be framed, matted or mounted on cardstock. Framed artwork must have a wire extended across the back and be securely anchored to a screw-eye on each side of the frame. This accommodates our handling system and ensures the safety of your artwork during the show. Please help us make the registration process run efficiently by doing this before you come to register.***

Awards will be given for first, second, third places, and honorable mention.  Additional awards are given overall from the art council, Highland City and for best theme. The Theme is “Our Slice of Paradise”.

There will be awards for the Best of Show winners selected from each category by the judges.  The Peoples’ Choice Award will be selected by the viewing public.

There will be an Art Sale held on Friday and Saturday in conjunction with the Art Show.  For more information on the Art Sale, please contact Shauna Larson at 801-891-7183.

Artwork in the show will be released on Saturday, Aug 5, from 4 to 6 pm.  All artwork must be picked up during this time.  A $5 late fee will be applied to those who do not pick up artwork during this time.  Late items may be paid for and picked up from the arts council.

Every effort will be made to keep your artwork safe, but please be aware that there is no guarantee due to unforeseen accidents.

There will be hand-painted greeting cards and art available for purchase to help raise funds for the arts council, which is a nonprofit organization.  The arts council depends on donation to provide arts opportunities for our community.
