Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering In Highland City

Do you feel pride in our community? Would you like to give back to your community through volunteerism? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, join us and become a shining star in your community! See the specific project and contact information in the following.

Beautification Committee

The focus of the Highland City Beautification Committee is not only to help beautify our amazing city, but also to create opportunities for residents to come together and create a sense of community. Some of the great programs that we have, or plan to begin this coming year, are: Adopt-a Patch, Backyard Garden Tours, Yard of the Month, Community Service Projects, and a Community Garden. Learn more on the Beautification Committee page.

Highland Fling

Many volunteers of varying involvement are needed to make the Highland Fling a success! Volunteers are needed for large jobs and small, one time and ongoing. There is definitely a way to use you for the Fling!!! Please contact the Events Coordinator at (801) 772-4507 or Email Events for more information.

Highland Glen Park

Highland Glen park is a great community asset and we need your help to keep it in good shape. The biggest need is help in trimming trails. Have an interest? Email Josh Castleberry.

Cemetery Information Board

The City would like to add an information board at the Cemetery with a map and listing of individuals who are buried in the cemetery. An individual with building skills could assist in the construction and installation of a board. Interested? Email Josh Castleberry.

Eagle Scout Projects

For Eagle Scout projects ideas, submit the Eagle Scout Project Proposal Form (PDF) to the Processing Clerk according to the guidelines on the form. Highland City does not provide a list of Eagle Scout Projects as requested by the Alpine-Highland Scout District. Some City projects may come up that may be a potential Eagle Scout Project. Scouts are encouraged to come up with their own project idea. Contact Candice Linford at (801) 772-4523.

Fishing Instructors

Do you like fishing? Do you want to share your love of fishing with young people? Then consider becoming a Hooked on Fishing instructor for our annual May fishing class! Please contact the Events Coordinator at (801) 772-4507 or Email Events for more information.
