Strongman Competition & Highland Games

2021 Strongman Competition & Highland Games

It has beenHighland Games contestant stated in various histories that Highland was probably named by Scottish immigrants who said it reminded them of their "Beloved Scottish Highlands".  In the spirit of honoring that heritage, and the strength of those who settled here, the Highland Games athletic competition and Strongman competition will take place on August 6th and 7th 2021.

Utah Heavy Athletics (UHA) has organized these competitions for years and will be hosting a Strongman/woman competition from 4:30pm to 8:30pm on Friday Aug 6th featuring athletes from all around who will prove their toughness by performing feats of strength such as overhead pressing, weighted carries, and heavy boulder lifting to name a few.

Then join the UHA athletes again on Saturday Aug 7th for the Highland Games featuring traditional Scottish events such as the Caber Toss, Weight for Height, Stone Put, Weight for Distance, as well as the State Hammer Championship, and the popular Sheaf Toss.
