Thomas George & Linda Ethel Clayton Carter

Thomas CarterThis is another short-time resident family. Their Church records arrived in 1929, and in 1930 the census showed them living at the power plant (Number 71 on the 1958 Highland map), where Thomas worked for UP&L.

At the 1900 census Ethel was shown as a servant in the home of Charles W. Nibley in Baker, Oregon. On March 17, 1901, while they were both living in Preston, they were married in Logan, Utah. They had six children: Thomas Newell, Idella, Mildred Fannie, Clayton George, Genevieve and Walter Edward. Genevieve was a teacher in the Sunday School in 1929 and 1930.

Thomas died May 22, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, and Ethel died October 6, 1957, also in Ogden. They are buried in the Preston, Idaho cemetery. [Find a Grave]
