William & Catherine Matelda Armstrong Chadwick

William Chadwick William was born December 9, 1847, to William and Elizabeth Tomlinson Chadwick in Flintshire, Wales. He was baptized on Christmas day that year in the Liverpool church. In 1869 he left Liverpool on the "Minnesota" bound for America, landing at New York on September 6, 1869. At the 1870 census he was living with a Hawkins family in Lehi. Catherine was born December 22, 1855, in Cottonwood, Salt Lake County, Utah, to William and Catherine Croddock Armstrong.

They married March 4, 1872, and lived in American Fork. He settled the 40 acres west of Healey and north of Winn (north of Number 75 on the 1958 Highland map), his homestead being final on December 26, 1900. They had ten children: Catherine Elizabeth, William John, James Henry, Ada Catherine, Laura Grace, Lydia, Abram, May, Cady Levena and Glenn. William died May 2, 1908, in American Fork and Catherine died September 18, 1932, and they are buried in the American Fork City Cemetery. [Find a Grave] [Names in Stone]
