William Sheldon and Rachel Sarah Loveridge DownsRachel L and Wm Downs

Rachel Loveridge appears as a Sunday School teacher in 1914-1917, and in 1917 as Rachel Downs, having married William Sheldon Downs on October 1. They apparently made their home with her parents, William and Martha Loveridge (q.v.) to whom she was born February 5, 1898, in Highland. Sheldon Downs was born August 19, 1892, in Smithfield, Utah Territory to William and Sarah McAlney Downs. They lived in Highland until after the 1920 census then apparently moved to Lehi where Sheldon died February 11, 1928, of a ruptured appendix. They had three children, Belva, Fern and Mae. Rachel married Arthur Minor Price on December 21, 1928. He was born January 13, 1885, in Morton, Illinois and died May 25, 1953, in Nephi, Utah. She died March 7, 1954, in Payson and is buried in American Fork.
