Clifton & Opal Hook Goff

Cliff GoffThe Goff's were another mink-raising family who moved to Highland in 1959 with their 2 sons: Thomas and James (adopted). Clifton was born September 8, 1919, in Murray, Utah to Joseph Hyrum and Zelma Augusta Erickson Goff. He graduated from Murray High and joined the Army National Guard, serving nearly five years during WWII in the Pacific and the Philippines. He married Opal Hook, daughter of Orel Don and Lois Olive Kreie Hook, in the Salt Lake Temple and built a home in Midvale, Utah.

While in Highland, Opal served in the YWMIA, Sunday School and as Relief Society President. Clifton served in the Elder's Quorum and as Stake Baptismal Coordinator. They served an eighteen month mission together to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Clifton died January 20, 2011.
