John Burr & Sarah M. Whiting Marvin

John was born January 18, 1841, in Homer, New York to John Gale and Welthea Briggs Marvin. Sarah was born September 4, 1848, in Warwickshire, England to John and Ann Pinfold Whiting (q.v.). They were married April 22, 1872, and had four children: Cora Ann, Millie Young, Louise Annette, and Ada Gertrude. In the 1880 census they were living in the same home as her father, John Whiting and her sister, Marche. John was part of the 1870's water lawsuit argued by Attorney George Sutherland. John died October 25, 1899, and Sarah was living at (Number 43 on the 1958 Highland map) until about 1905. She died June 29, 1924, in Salt Lake City.a
