Council Brief for Feb 5:
- Brady Mather, Paul Burnside, Tyler Loong, Lorie Lisonbee, Steven Hewett, Dan Stratton, Eric Gertler, Dan Reilley, Natalie Thompson, and Lorna Reed spoke in support of building a park in Highland and in favor of pickleball courts
- Sherry Kramer, Vanessa Moody and Cory Wilkinson spoke in opposition of building the park with 27 pickleball courts
- Amy Thackery expressed her excitement in building a park that would bring the community together.
- Aerin Burns offered her thanks to the Council and her support and gratitude for the Arts Council program in Highland
- City Council approved the appointments of Christopher Kemp, Claude Jones and Audrey Wright to serve on the Planning Commission
- City Council approved the final plat for the Titera Subdivision
- City Council continued revisions of the Library Board bylaws and Municipal Code
- City Council approved a contract for sewer lining
- Mayor and Council reviewed and updated Council Committee assignments for 2019
- Mayor/Council and Staff discussion and communication items
- Council Member Scott L. Smith reported of a request from North County Waste Management to revise their Interlocal agreement and a request from a non-profit organization to allow the immunization and sterilization of feral cats
- Council Member Kurt Ostler provided a brief update regarding the progress of the Dry Creek Lake project
- Council Member Brian Braithwaite reported of the UDOT Public Hearing/Open House on February 21, 2019 at Fox Hollow Golf Course
