The City Council of Highland City has adopted a resolution indicating its intent to adjust its municipal boundaries with Lehi City.

The City Council of Highland City has adopted a resolution indicating its intent to adjust its municipal boundaries with Lehi City in order that the real property hereinafter described within Lehi City but contiguous to Highland City (the “proposed adjustment area”) will be transferred from the municipal jurisdiction of Highland City to Lehi City. The proposed adjustment areas are described as follows:

LEHI/HIGHLAND BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION

COMMENCING AT A THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF AREA 2 DRY CREEK LAKE ANNEXATION WHICH IS NORTH 00°01’29” EAST 1235.36 FEET ALONG THE SECTION LINE AND EAST 3810.47 FEET FROM THE WEST QUARTER CORNER OF SECTION 34, TOWNSHIP 4 SOUTH, RANGE 1 EAST, SALT LAKE BASE AND MERIDIAN; THENCE NORTH 89°46’35” EAST 456.72 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 68°45’39” WEST 599.13 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 43°32’46” WEST 1243.70 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 67°28’58” WEST 464.55 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 36°51’47” WEST 519.30 FEET; THENCE NORTH 58°02’16” WEST 399.33 FEET TO THE SOUTHERLY CORNER OF AREA 1 DRY CREEK LAKE ANNEXATION

BASIS OF BEARING: NAD 83 BEARINGS AS PER STATE PLANE COORDINATE AND DEPENDENT RESURVEY PLAT FOUND AT THE COUNTY SURVEYORS OFFICE.

A public hearing will be held on January 14, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. at Highland City Hall, 5400 West Civic Center Drive, Highland, UT, to discuss and consider approving an ordinance to make the proposed municipal boundary adjustment with Lehi City. The City Council will make the proposed municipal boundary adjustment unless at or before the public hearing, written protests to the boundary adjustment are filed with the City Recorder by owners of private real property that is located within the proposed adjustment area that: (1) covers at least 25% of the private land area within the area proposed for adjustment; and (2) is equal in value to at least 15% of the value of all private real property within the area proposed for adjustment.
